About The Position

The Forensic Services Program at Children’s Charter Trauma Clinic, a division of The Key Program, Inc., is seeking to hire a part-time (15-20 hrs. per week) fee-for-service evaluator. Founded in 1985, the Forensic Services Team has a long-standing reputation as the leading provider of Child Trauma and Parental Capacity Evaluations for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. The team primarily performs independent evaluations of parents and children involved with Child Protective Services (DCF) and/or the court system, concerning issues such as trauma, abuse, neglect, attachment, and parental capacity. Forensic Services Program clinicians work together as a skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team. All Forensic evaluators participate in a weekly clinical seminar to discuss and further learn and develop their expertise and training related to this challenging work. Weekly individual supervision is also provided.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Psychologist
• Experienced in Psychological Testing – both Intellectual and Personality Batteries
• Experienced in working with children, adolescents, and/or parents
• Familiar with the Child Welfare System
• Knowledgeable about issues related to child adversity and maltreatment
• Able to collaborate effectively with co-workers, clients, and outside agencies
• Organized and possesses strong writing skills
• Committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching and supervising intellectual and personality testing batteries
• Bilingual language skills desirable

Responsibilities

• Carry at least two evaluation cases at a time with the goal of completing a minimum of twelve evaluations over a 12-month period.
• Specialize in Child Trauma Evaluations or Parental Capacity Evaluations or be comfortable providing both services.
• Participate in in-person weekly team meetings.
• Conduct client appointments typically at the clinic.
• Travel for visit observations related to Parental Capacity Evaluations.
• Provide psychological testing, record review, and collateral contact.
• Prepare reports.
• Provide Court testimony or consultation related to the report when needed.
• Assist in the training and supervising of 4th year doctoral students.
