About The Position

This position reports to the Supervisor of Forensic Processing and is responsible for the routine daily sample processing within the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department. The candidate is accountable for all specimen receipt, sorting, data entry, and work within the forensic processing department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and adhere to safety requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of computer systems.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

• Prior laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a functional understanding of the Laboratory Information System.
• Sort specimens by source, such as hair, oral fluid, or urine, and by work list.
• Complete Maxilog data entry tasks.
• Understand and adhere to strict forensic practices.
• Process urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing independently.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Proficiently scan and image all custody and control forms.
• Discard negative specimens according to protocol.
• Perform flexilog on routine urine specimens at a rate of 70 CCFs per hour.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
