About the Position: Come grow with us! The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita, OK is a 24 hour/365 day secure inpatient forensic facility that provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma. Currently, OFC has 268 beds for consumers who have been found Incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.

Requirements

  • Basic security and/or firefighter’s course.
  • Two years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work.
  • Must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
  • Must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must submit to a physical examination upon conditional offer of employment.
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying 60 pounds.
  • Able to push and pull a maximum force of 30 pounds.
  • Must submit to urinalysis to test for drugs upon conditional offer of employment for safety sensitive positions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security and safety within a forensic facility.
  • Monitor patient behavior and ensure adherence to facility rules.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for consumers.
  • Conduct security checks and patrols.
  • Document observations and incidents accurately.
