About The Position

The Forensic Interviewer is responsible for conducting highly specialized forensic interviews of children reported to be victims of abuse and/or neglect, coordinating the systems related to forensic interviewing and medical clinical needs. Works with diverse groups of people, including clients and their families, professionals in the areas of law enforcement, medicine, education and agency employees. Provides the respective teams and agencies with the information gathered that may be used in legal proceedings.

Requirements

  • 6 months of professional experience working with children and families where abuse and violence are identified issues.
  • Professional experience conducting evidence-based forensic interviews.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of investigations of child abuse and neglect.
  • Knowledge of child development through coursework, professional training or experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual communication and interpretation skills a plus.
