About The Position

This internship is designed to provide students with an immersive, semester-long experience with client engagements, investigations, and litigation consulting matters. The intern will inventory and review documents and data to contribute to the formulation of forensic investigation conclusions and economic damage calculations. They will perform preliminary analyses, clear review comments, and communicate findings with team members. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of client presentations, expert witness reports, and other client engagement deliverables for accounting investigations and complex commercial litigation matters. Additionally, the intern will complete ad hoc research, demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and maintain the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet software

Nice To Haves

• Working towards a degree in accounting, or related field
• Active tracking and pursuit of educational credits required to be CPA-eligible
• Work experience in accounting or a related field
• Active participation in student organizations

Responsibilities

• Complete ad hoc client and/or industry-specific research
• Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills, knowing when to ask for help
• Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct
