About The Position

The Foreman position is responsible for all activities that take place on their assigned job site. This role involves overseeing rigging crew activities, developing and implementing crew plans aligned with customer and sales directions, and directing the workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule. The Foreman will directly supervise and work with machinery moving crews, taking a hands-on approach to supervising the movement of machinery using forklifts, skates, and jacks. A key part of the role includes developing and training crews in best rigging operation practices and safety procedures, working closely with safety personnel on training, investigations, and reporting. Building strong customer and employee relationships through excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential, as is developing effective relationships with customers, business partners, and management. The Foreman must effectively manage job site projects by organizing all project information accurately and ensuring it contains all necessary details. The role requires consistently demonstrating professional conduct representative of MEI corporate mission, vision, and values, and the ability to drive to customer job sites to work and direct all activities.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum three to five (3-5) years proven machinery moving foreman experience or comparable field preferably within the construction, manufacturing or rigging or machinery moving industry.
Excellent interpersonal, management, supervisory and project management skills.
Highly self-directed and motivated.
Must have extensive experience moving machinery with forklift, skating, leveling and anchoring of machines.
Must have own hand tools.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and other business software (such as Wright Plan/CRM) as needed.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew.
Develops, plans and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen with direction of job.
Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
Directly supervises and works with one or more machinery moving crews.
Hands on supervisory role with the ability to effectively move machinery utilizing forklifts, skates, and jacks (not cranes).
Develop, train and instruct machinery moving crews in best known rigging operation practices and procedures including safety.
Work closely with safety personnel in coordinating safety training, accident and injury investigations and reporting and equipment or property damage incidents investigations and reporting.
Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Develop highly effective relationships with customers, business partners, crating operations management, and support staff.
Effectively manage job site projects by organizing all project information to ensure they are accurate and contain all necessary information.
Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of MEI corporate mission, vision, and values.
Must be able to drive to customer job sites and work and direct all activates on customer job sites.
