About The Position

The Foreman position is within the Pipeline Integrity department and is classified as Construction. This role is project-based and requires working in the field, with hours that may vary based on job and client demands. The Foreman must be able to work in all weather conditions and in various locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and BC. Flexibility for rotating shifts, working out of town, and overtime on weekends is essential. A Living Out Allowance is provided. This is a physically demanding role that includes bending and heavy lifting.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge/experience with pipeline operations + oil and gas industry
  • Required Safety Tickets: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid – Level C CPR/AED, Ground Disturbance – Level II, Confined Space (Job Dependent)
  • Required pre-employment Occupational Testing: Drug and Alcohol, Audiometric, Hearing Protection Fit, Respiratory Mask Fit
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, estimates, and preparation of proposals.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Act as primary liaison with site supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Understand complete site access requirements (PPE, Safety Training, D&A testing, etc.).
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis and margin estimations to determine project success parameters.
  • Manage client/contractor site meetings, RFI’s, change orders, invoices, and document control processes.
  • Identify, communicate, monitor and maintain project HSE expectations and deliverables.
  • Overseeing other crew members on site and providing examples, being able to assist as needed. Working independently with experience.
  • Completion of pre-job work (FLHA’s).
  • Fueling/shoveling tracks.
  • Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment, and provide assistance in other activities.
  • Assist in aligning pipes and perform related activities during oil and gas pipeline construction.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shove.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged material.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
  • Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials.
  • Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
