About The Position

The Foreman position is responsible for all activities that take place on their assigned job site. This role involves managing job site activities, developing and implementing crew plans, directing the workforce to meet operational goals, and supervising machinery moving crews. The Foreman will be hands-on, utilizing forklifts, skates, and jacks for machinery movement, and will be responsible for training crews on best practices and safety procedures. This role also requires close collaboration with safety personnel, building strong customer and employee relationships, and effectively managing job site projects. The Foreman must consistently demonstrate professional conduct and be able to drive to customer job sites to direct all activities.

Requirements

HS diploma with continuing education in Business, Project or Construction Management or related degree a plus.
Minimum ten (10) years proven machinery moving foreman experience or comparable field preferably within the construction, manufacturing or rigging or machinery moving industry.
Excellent interpersonal, management, supervisory and project management skills.
Highly self-directed and motivated.
Must have extensive experience moving machinery with forklift, skating, leveling and anchoring of machines.
Must have own hand tools.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew.
Develops, plans and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen with direction of job.
Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
Directly supervises and works with one or more machinery moving crews.
Hands on supervisory role with the ability to effectively move machinery utilizing forklifts, skates, and jacks (not cranes).
Develop, train and instruct machinery moving crews in best known rigging operation practices and procedures including safety.
Work closely with safety personnel in coordinating safety training, accident and injury investigations and reporting and equipment or property damage incidents investigations and reporting.
Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Develop highly effective relationships with customers, business partners, crating operations management, and support staff.
Effectively manage job site projects by organizing all project information to ensure they are accurate and contain all necessary information.
Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of MEI corporate mission, vision, and values.
Must be able to drive to customer job sites and work and direct all activities on customer job sites.
