About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Mine Foreman based out of our Archbald, PA Quarry to play a crucial role in the production of our materials in our East Region. This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a surface quarry.

Requirements

  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance

  • Be detailed oriented and well organized
  • Self-motivated positively by working independently, however demonstrate eagerness to participate with being part of a team setting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft office suite and relevant software packages
  • Experience in aggregate testing and PennDOT certified
  • Can lift up to 80 pounds
  • Valid driver license
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, for an extended period
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Basic math skills are vital for purposes of accuracy
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote safety
  • Supervise daily mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive workflow
  • Lead and direct crews, including equipment operators, laborers, and technicians
  • Enforce all company safety policies, MSHA regulations, and environmental standards
  • Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and hazard assessments
  • Monitor work areas and conditions to identify and correct unsafe practices
  • Coordinate production activities to meet output targets and schedules
  • Assign tasks and monitor crew performance to maintain productivity goals
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and maintenance
  • Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
  • Maintain accurate records of production, safety, and personnel activities
  • Communicate regularly with mine management regarding progress, issues, and staffing needs
  • Train and mentor employees on safe work practices and job responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team and management to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability
  • Lead and direct maintenance efforts and activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local mining regulations
  • Manage workforce allocation, and job assignments
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • May be required to travel to other sites
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
