As the Public Works Foreman (Water Quality), you'll lead a skilled team while overseeing water quality operations, regulatory compliance, cross-connection control, and customer service. This role combines leadership with technical expertise, giving you the opportunity to mentor others, solve complex operational challenges, and help ensure the community continues to receive safe, high-quality drinking water every day.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
7+ Years of related experience in water quality, water distribution, or a closely related field
Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License
Class C Water Distribution License
Class I Wastewater Collection License
Ability to read and comprehend both oral and written instructions to carry out job duties accurately and safely
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with City officials, team members, and the general public
Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication of whole numbers, and to complete required documentation and reports
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the public, demonstrating tact, respect, and professionalism
Ability to maintain reliable communication through a residential telephone and/or mobile phone as required for operational readiness
Must possess and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with City policies and operational needs

Nice To Haves

Experience in a supervisory or lead role within municipal water or wastewater operations
Experience performing cross-connection control inspections, customer service inspections, and maintaining compliance with state and federal water quality standards
Additional relevant licenses or certifications beyond the minimum required
