About The Position

Can you troubleshoot under pressure, monitor progress, and coach others—without losing sight of safety and quality? If that sounds like you, read on. The challenge Oversee and work with journeymen and helpers on installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, materials, and equipment. Plan the work: align labor, materials, and tools to the scope defined by plans and specifications. Install with precision; model expert use of electrical equipment and major tools. Diagnose and correct issues across a range of electrical systems. Continuously monitor job progress and adjust to meet targets. Code time sheets accurately. Help evaluate and train teammates. Apply skills consistent with E‑Rating levels E‑6 through E‑1.

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s License and personal transportation (some sites lack public transit access).
  • Electrical Journeyman or Master license.
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent training.
  • 6 or more years of electrical experience.
  • Wire color identification; blueprint/print/schematic reading.
  • Conduit bending by hand with hand benders.
  • Use of saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
  • Digging trenches with hand tools or power equipment.
  • Operating trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks safely.
  • Proficient use of two‑handed tools: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers.
  • Operating company trucks (manual and automatic transmissions).
  • Reading/interpreting maps, instructional manuals, specifications, site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
  • Operating and working from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
  • Working on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Safety Policy.
  • Bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and overhead reaching.
  • Ability to lift 51 pounds.
  • On your feet and moving for most of the day.
  • Comfortable on all ladder types.
  • Able to complete full‑day overhead work.
  • Capable of moving from parking/street to construction work areas and accessing all building levels, including via OSHA‑approved ladders or in‑progress stairs acceptable for use.
