The Foreman A is a crew leader type position with superior experience and proven success in the leadership position. This role involves enforcing safe working practices, efficiently scheduling crews, maintaining records, and communicating with customers. The Foreman A will lead, train, and coach team members on proper pruning techniques, operate vehicles and equipment safely, and assist in visual observation and safety checks in vegetation management. They will also participate in storm restoration efforts, ensure work is carried out as planned, and adapt quickly to changes. Understanding and adhering to the Line Clearance Contract is crucial. The position requires performing necessary tasks to complete the job safely, effectively communicating with crew members, and ensuring the safety of oneself and others through proper use of tools, safety equipment, and PPE. Participation in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills is expected. The Foreman A is responsible for coordinating and inspecting the work of crew members, complying with company reporting procedures, completing paperwork, and assisting in on-the-job training for less experienced personnel. They are accountable for crew availability and proper inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintaining company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order is also a responsibility. Effective communication with crew members regarding work directives and customer communication about work practices is essential. The Foreman A must demonstrate knowledge and experience required in subordinate positions and follow all Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and Procedures.
