The Foreman A is a crew leader type position with superior experience and proven success in the leadership position. This role involves enforcing safe working practices, efficiently scheduling crews, maintaining records, assisting fellow workers, and maintaining good customer and public relations. The Foreman A will lead, train, and coach team members on proper pruning techniques, operate vehicles and equipment safely, and assist in visual observation and safety checks in vegetation management. This position may require participation in storm restoration efforts and ensuring crew members carry out work as planned, adapting quickly to changes. A thorough understanding of the Line Clearance Contract is necessary, along with the ability to perform tasks safely and communicate effectively with crew members and customers. Continuous participation in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills is expected. The Foreman A is responsible for coordinating and inspecting the work of crew members, complying with company reporting procedures, and completing paperwork. They will also assist in on-the-job training for less experienced personnel and accept accountability for crew availability. Proper inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and tools are also key responsibilities. Effective communication with crew members to ensure understanding of work directives and efficient communication with customers/property owners about work practices to obtain their concurrence is crucial. The Foreman A must demonstrate knowledge and experience required in subordinate positions and adhere to Company Safety Rules and Policies.
