This program offers challenging opportunities for foreign pharmacy graduates to learn and grow professionally within CVS Health. The goal is to transform health care by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduates will support pharmacy teams, prepare for a Pharmacist role by completing required US Internship hours, and apply their didactic learning. Under a preceptor's direction, a mixed modality learning plan will be used to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities. Graduates must complete their internship within 18 months and be prepared to pass licensure exams within 120 days of internship completion. The experience includes hands-on practice, a training roadmap, Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), and interaction with leaders to deepen understanding of pharmacy practice, patient care, business acumen, and leadership skills. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team with smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and exceeding patient expectations. This involves operating as part of the team, applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication. Empathy, genuine care, and contribution to a safe and inclusive culture are essential. Graduates will contribute to safe and effective pharmacy operations by following SOPs, pharmacy workflow procedures, and demonstrating compassionate care. They will offer counseling, field medical questions, solicit medical history, take telephonic prescriptions, and clarify prescriptions with prescribers. Graduates will also provide in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members, share best practices, and complete basic inventory activities. They will contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, be receptive to feedback, and actively seek to expand clinical and technical knowledge. Flexibility in scheduling and business needs is required, along with contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Travel to other stores may be necessary. Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles is mandatory, as is adherence to CVS policies for patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and patient privacy. Additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, may be provided where allowable by law and supported by training. Graduates may support immunizations by completing licensure and training, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and reviewing patient information.
