About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates that speak Chinese Mandarin to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This role involves accurately translating and interpreting various forms of content, including reports and texts, while capturing geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural nuances. The position also requires transcription of audio or internet materials and the preparation of written reports. Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for reporting and presenting information. Computer proficiency, including MS Office and internet research, is also necessary.

Requirements

US Citizen
Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
Ability to pass an advanced English test
Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
Master use of MS Office and internet research

Previous military experience
Good understanding of one or more regional dialects
Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities

Responsibilities

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
Interpret accurately, with the ability for consecutive interpretation and, on rare occasions, simultaneous interpretation
Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression
Prepare reports using excellent English-language written communication skills
Identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts
Utilize computer skills, including MS Office, to produce written translations and products
Perform basic internet research
Present briefings using excellent English language verbal communication skills
