About The Position

Mortgage Center is seeking a Foreclosure Specialist to join their team. This role involves mitigating risk for the employer by assisting counselors in preventing and reducing delinquency through communication with members via phone and email. The specialist will also communicate with foreclosure attorneys, investors, and credit unions to determine liquidation strategies, process loans through the entire foreclosure and bankruptcy processes, and file reimbursement claims to recover foreclosure expenses. The role offers opportunities to share best practices, solve problems using analytical and organizational skills, and collaborate with team members and others within the organization.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of: foreclosure process, out of state foreclosure proceedings, FNMA/FHLMC required foreclosure guidelines, 571 claims, PMI claims, HUD, REO, and investor guidelines.
• Knowledge of all Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and private mortgage insurance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment.
• Superb follow up skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting counselors in preventing and reducing delinquency through effective communication with members via phone and email.
• Effectively communicating with foreclosure attorneys, investors, and credit unions to determine liquidation strategies.
• Processing loans through the entire foreclosure process, from referral to eviction.
• Filing reimbursement claims to recover foreclosure expenses, and determining and managing recoverability of legal fees and costs.
• Processing loans through the full bankruptcy process.
