About The Position
Coughlin Ford of Marysville is seeking to hire an experienced Ford Service Technician. Requirements
- Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge
- Technical training or commensurate technical experience required
- Valid Driver's License
- Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer
- Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests
- Completed manufacturer training
- Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
- Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations
- Ability to understand and follow technical manuals
Responsibilities
- Perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles.
- Conduct PDI's (Pre-Delivery Inspections).
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
- Utilize timekeeping system.
- Learn and use parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
- Communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Interact with customers, service advisors, and the service manager.
