About The Position

The Bethel University Football Program is seeking a creative and motivated individual to fill the role of Football Videographer Intern. The primary objective of this position is to elevate the football program's brand and actively engage fans, recruits, and alumni. The intern will be responsible for capturing the energy, emotion, and execution of Royals Football on game days and translating that raw footage into high-impact, short-form digital content (such as 45–90 second weekly recap videos optimized for social media).

Requirements

  • Must be a current student.
  • Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and stabilizers (gimbals).
  • Strong experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under tight weekly deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • An eye for sports cinematography, pacing, music synchronization, and sound design.
  • Prior knowledge or understanding of football.

Responsibilities

  • Capturing the energy, emotion, and execution of Royals Football on game days.
  • Translating raw footage into high-impact, short-form digital content (e.g., 45-90 second weekly recap videos optimized for social media).
  • Traveling via team busing for all home and away games.
  • Editing video footage in the Bethel University Library Maker Space or alternative workspace.
  • Attending weekly check-in/media transfer meetings.
  • Completing and emailing the final recap video by Thursday morning at 10:00 AM following each game.
