About The Position

This position involves assisting the head coach in managing the junior varsity football program at Wilson High School. The role requires a strong understanding of football principles, rules, and technical skills, as well as the ability to recruit and sustain the program. The coach will work approximately 10-20 hours per week, with hours varying based on meetings and practices.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a detailed knowledge of current practices, rules, principles and technical skills of the sport.
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to recruit and sustain a program.
• Candidates must have valid and up to date First Aid, CPR, AED & Concussion Management and DASA certifications.
• Candidate must also have an NYS Coaching certification and have completed an internship for the particular sport OR possess a temporary or permanent NYS coaching license for the particular sport.
• Proof of NYS fingerprinting clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

• Head/assistant coaching experience at the Modified level or equivalent credentials.
• Valid Concussion Management Certificate.
• Previous Coaching Experience.
