About The Position

OrthoVirginia, Virginia's largest provider of musculoskeletal care, is seeking fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible orthopedic Sports Surgeons to join their practice in the Lynchburg, VA area. This is a private practice/partnership track opportunity where the successful candidate will work alongside specialists in general orthopedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. The practice offers a direct pathway to becoming a shareholding physician and potential participation in ancillary revenues. Candidates should be prepared to participate in general orthopedic call.

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained in Sports Surgery
• Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• MD or DO degree
• Active/eligibility for Virginia state licensure

Responsibilities

• Care for general orthopedic conditions
• Perform arthroscopic knee surgery (ACL, meniscus repair)
• Perform shoulder arthroscopy (rotator cuff repair, labral repair)
• Perform ligament reconstruction
• Perform cartilage restoration procedures
• Perform tendon repair and reconstruction
• Perform joint stabilization procedures
• Perform sports-related fracture repair
• Perform elbow arthroscopy
• Perform hip arthroscopy
• Treat sports-related injuries
• Participate in general orthopedic call
