About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD UNIT LEAD (PACKOUT) position. This role coordinates activities of other food-service employees, creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors, and provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail. The position involves overseeing and participating in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control. The role also includes helping to plan menus, ensuring timely and efficient meal service, supervising the serving of meals, and responding to customer complaints. Additionally, the Food Unit Lead trains employees, assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence, determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. This role requires the use of proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory-cash reports, production records, payroll, and time-keeping. The Food Unit Lead is responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual (deposits, petty cash, change funds) and orders food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors. The position directs and participates in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and employees in accordance with company standards and government regulations, develops sanitation schedules, and ensures food-service employees adhere to the schedule for cleaning of the kitchen and dining area and washing of kitchen utensils and equipment. The role involves issuing written and oral instructions, helping to select and orient employees, and overseeing staff training in areas of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing required.
  • Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Uses proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory-cash reports-production records, payroll and time- keeping.
