About The Position

Smokin’ Jack BBQ is looking for motivated, high-volume cooks to join our food truck & special events team for the 2026 season. This role involves working exciting events, festivals, concerts, and more, bringing delicious BBQ wherever the action is. The position is based out of our Brown Deer HQ, with events across SE Wisconsin. Candidates must have their own transportation or be able to meet at HQ.

Requirements

  • Experienced grill cook who thrives under pressure.
  • Self-starter & problem solver – able to think on their feet.
  • Comfortable with minor prep tasks (slicing, portioning, etc.).
  • Able to follow recipes and consistently deliver high-quality food.
  • Must be available days, nights, and weekends.
  • Must be reliable and team-oriented.
  • Must have your own transportation or be able to meet at our Brown Deer HQ.

Nice To Haves

  • Food truck experience.
  • POS (e.g., Toast, Square) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Grilling high-volume food under pressure.
  • Performing minor prep tasks such as slicing and portioning.
  • Assisting with load-in/set-up before events.
  • Assisting with break-down/clean-up after events.
  • Following recipes and consistently delivering high-quality food.
