About The Position

Cameron Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit facility that proudly serves Angola and Steuben County. We’ve been a cornerstone of this community and the surrounding area in northeast Indiana dating back to 1926. Today, Cameron Hospital has grown into something more than a simple community hospital. Filled with advanced equipment and skilled specialists, Cameron is a modern, high-tech facility that provides advanced diagnostics, a variety of specialties and cutting-edge treatment options that are combined with highly personalized and compassionate care. This role is in the Food Service department and is a full-time position (1.0 FTE, 80 hours bi-weekly) with shifts typically on the 1st and 2nd shift.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.
Ability to use a computer.

Responsibilities

Operates a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.
Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following all Cameron Hospital and regulatory rules and procedures.
Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.
Promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
