About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Food Services Field Support Specialist. This is a promotional opportunity open only to current classified monthly-salaried employees of the district. The district is looking for professionals dedicated to students and their communities. The Food Services Field Support Specialist will be responsible for preparing specifications for equipment, supplies, and paper goods, defining procurement requirements, coordinating repair and maintenance of cafeteria equipment and facilities, monitoring equipment safety and sanitation, developing and coordinating program publicity materials and reports, and conducting assigned special projects.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in business, institution management, school food service management, dietetics, or a related field
  • One year of recent experience in quantity food production and service management
  • Related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of the application
