About The Position

People who aspire to excellence every day. This PRN position involves evening and weekend shifts and is located at Bloomington Hospital. The role is responsible for preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to ensure a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. Key duties include timely, accurate, and courteous service, as well as adhering to sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices for food safety. The associate will operate various food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent not required.
• No experience is required.
