Food Services Associate I - Supplemental
About The Position
This position is PRN/supplemental. Team member will work as needed to assist with business operations. There are no set working hours, working days, or days off. Team member will need to be flexible to work rotating shifts and weekends/holidays as needed. This position is eligible for shift pay differentials. Location: IU Health Methodist Hospital. Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. Responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service. Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
- Adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Prior food service experience is preferred.
