Food Services Aide - Unscheduled Part Time Hours
About The Position
The Village Of Erin Meadows has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Aide to join their team. This is a permanent, unscheduled part-time position located at 2930 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga. The hiring rate for this role is $22.78 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. As a Food Service Aide (FSA) joining our Village, you will display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members, working in an accurate, quick, and safe manner. You will assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met while following safe food handling techniques. You will also support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintain a clean dining room and workspace. The role requires the ability to stand or walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift, lift up to 50lbs, and push/pull wheeled equipment up to 100 lbs. You will support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and deliver the highest quality of customer service. A valid Smart Serve Certification and a valid Food handlers certification are required.
Requirements
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
- Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
- Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
- Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
- Hold a valid Food handlers certification.
Nice To Haves
- Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
- Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
