About The Position

The Village of Glendale has an exciting opportunity for a Food Services Aide to join their team. This is an unscheduled part-time position. The hiring rate for this role is $18.75 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
  • Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
  • Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
  • Hold a valid Food handlers certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
  • Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
  • Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents ensuring dietary needs and food preferences are met while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Support with the preparation of catering functions and events.
  • Maintain a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Support and embrace the resident-centered social culture and deliver the highest quality of customer service to residents.
