About The Position

This position operates in a food service environment and is responsible for performing various duties to ensure the smooth operation of the food service facility. The role involves adhering to sanitation requirements, performing dishwashing and line-serving duties, and maintaining professional conduct. The employee will be exposed to varying temperatures, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise levels. Familiarity with the operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting of food service equipment is required.

Requirements

• Ability to complete and maintain the ServSafe™ Food Handler’s annual certification.
• Able to adapt to work changes.
• Able to understand/comprehend English.
• Able to work with chemicals and understand SDS (Safety Data sheets).
• Ability to meet the requirements of Air Force background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform Food Service Worker duties as required by the standards in the Food Service Worker OJT.
• Adhere to sanitation requirements when working in the dining room, including cleaning tables, chairs, beverage lines, microwaves, condiment carts, and other areas; restocking condiments; replenishing juice and coffee; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming carpet; breaking down the beverage line; and cleaning coffee pots at shift end.
• Perform dishwashing duties, including setting up and tearing down the dishwasher, unloading carts, pre-scraping, loading, and spraying dishes and trays; loading glasses; washing utensils; pulling clean dishes, glasses, utensils, and trays, ensuring cleanliness and dryness, and placing them appropriately; ensuring the serving area is properly stocked; and emptying trash at shift end.
• Perform line-serving duties as required, including performing temperature checks on service line products, ensuring cleanliness of the line and surrounding area, assisting in product replenishment, and maintaining the area during and after meals according to standards.
• Maintain professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as required by supervisor.
