Food Service Worker
About The Position
Children's Mercy Camber Olathe is dedicated to ensuring every person is safe and connected to a strong family and a healthy community. We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will prepare nutritious meals for children and adolescents in a setting similar to a small school lunchroom, specifically tailored for those receiving behavioral health care. Requirements
- Completed at least the 10th grade.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- One to three months of experience or training in the food service industry, specifically in food preparation and storage.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience providing daily food service to children within a residential treatment facility or school setting.
- Comfortable using Windows-based software and email.
Responsibilities
- Prepare recommended meals and arrange food and beverages on steam tables, coolers, or mobile carts.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, including proper handling, preparation, and storage.
- Monitor refrigeration temperatures.
- Clean and sanitize utensils, cooking equipment, and serving areas.
- Set up or break down tables for special events or fluctuating patient needs.
