Requirements

• Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions
• Ability to read and write
• Use simple arithmetic
• Keep simple record
• Use simple office machines including computers

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year or more of experience in food services

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items for cooking or serving and serving areas.
• Serves food from serving line or prepares and/or transports food for catering or patient feeding trays.
• Responsible for decisions concerning food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Follows proper sanitation procedures and techniques when handling food.
• Follows cleaning manual to sanitize any equipment used and rotate cleaning food storage areas.
• Communicates with managers, food service workers, and all customers of Terrace Dining.
• May assist in training new employees concerning hot and cold food procedures and/or sanitation of the responsible area.
• May deliver and service catered functions.
