About The Position

Food Service Worker – Charleston County School District
Pay: $17/hour
Hours: Up to 30hrs (shift times are between 6:30am -2:30pm)

Join our team and help fuel students' success! CCSD is hiring Food Service Workers to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a fast-paced, rewarding school environment. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with a team, staying active, and making a real difference in students' daily lives.

Location: Positions available throughout Charleston County, including Charleston, James Island, Mt. Pleasant, and surrounding CCSD school areas. Candidates must be open and flexible to placement at various schools within the district.

Requirements

• Reliable, team-oriented, and friendly attitude
• Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods
• Willingness to work flexible school-year hours
• Must provide proof of a negative TB test prior to starting work
• Must PASS a background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following food safety and nutrition guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen/cafeteria environment
• Provide friendly, efficient service to students and staff
• Assist with inventory, food prep, and basic kitchen equipment operation
