About The Position

The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The role is based at Fresh & Ready FG FL in Melbourne, Florida. It is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., and Saturdays, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Further details are provided during the interview. Employees work in a temperature-controlled environment and may be exposed to cold conditions for extended periods. The position includes preparing ingredients, following food safety and production standards, serving customers, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting service, inventory, and cash-control procedures. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled.

Requirements

Previous food production experience is preferred; no required experience is stated.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
Store food in designated areas and follow wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Follow approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined steps of service.
Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
