About The Position

The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting with meal preparation, dining room set up, dish pits and kitchen clean up. This position reports directly to the Dining Manager, Executive Chef and Sous Chef, who will assign the daily production schedule and give direction. The general purpose of this role is to assist in all aspects of dining services at the direction of the Dining Manager, Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dining Manager, Executive Chef and Sous Chef in hot and cold food preparation.
  • Assist in dining room set up; which may include but is not limited to cleaning tables and chairs, setting up place settings, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, trash, maintaining coffee stations and detail cleaning.
  • Assist in the dish pits, ensuring that all dining items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and properly stored. This may involve the set up and take down of the dishwashing machine and handwashing items in the triple sink. Depending on work experience, this may be the primary duty of a Food Service Worker.
  • Communicates and listens effectively with all food services staff and supervisors.
  • All other duties as assigned.
