About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Food Service Worker for their Bistro/Dietary department in the NEW TOWER. This is a Full-Time position with rotating weekend shifts, working from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM. The role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals according to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include stocking patient floor kitchens, serving guests with a focus on positive customer relations, replenishing supplies, completing sanitation duties, and performing dish room tasks. The position also involves collecting payments for guest trays and handling cafeteria transactions as a cashier. Additionally, the role includes setting up and serving meals for various dining outlets, decorating buffet and reception tables, and supporting high-quality food preparation and service. This position is crucial for customer safety, comfort, and satisfaction, requiring the ability to perform all functions independently and cross-train in food service responsibilities, including training others.
Requirements
- High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- 2 Years of experience in food and nutrition preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
- Complete sanitation duties.
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
- Collect payments for guest trays.
- Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
- Follow all aspects of high-quality food preparation and service, or support coworkers to do so.
- Perform all functions independently and cross-train in food service responsibilities.
- Support the training of others.
