About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food for an eating establishment, ensuring it meets company standards for quality, safety, and consistency. The worker will maintain knowledge of all product offerings, prepare food items according to menus and recipes, and adjust cooking equipment as needed. Responsibilities also include cleaning and sanitizing the work area and equipment, proper food storage, and serving meals to guests. Compliance with food and store safety programs, including proper hand washing, sanitation, and food handling, is essential. The role also involves receiving products from vendors and documenting any issues with merchandise.

Requirements

• Acquire and maintain Food Handler's certification
• Be on feet 6+ hours per shift
• No experience

Responsibilities

• Provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety and consistency.
• Maintain knowledge of all product offerings.
• Ensure fast service and delicious food.
• Prepare food items per menu and recipes mixing and measuring ingredients according to recipe, using variety of ingredients and kitchen tools, utensils and equipment
• Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and steam kettles
• Clean and sanitize work area and food preparation equipment; wash and dry dishes and other cooking utensils used in preparing food
• Store food in designated areas, using knowledge of time and temperature requirements and food spoilage; document temperature readings
• Read food orders or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guests
• Serve meals to guests
• Comply with food and store safety programs and behaviors to minimize employee and guest injury and illness including hand washing, sanitation, food handling/storage and time and temperature controls.
• Receive products from venders following correct procedures.
• Document bad merchandise/write-offs per policy.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
