Join our school nutrition team as a Food Service Worker and help serve healthy meals that fuel learning and fun every day! At Whitsons, we know that hungry kids can’t learn. Requirements
- Speak and read English
- Be able to lift 40 pounds or more
- The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools and controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 40 lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to see in dim lit areas such as walk-ins and storage areas.
Nice To Haves
- Food Handling certification preferred but not required
- Some experience helpful
Responsibilities
- Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff
- Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience
- Work as part of a fun, energetic team
