About The Position

Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room. Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to insure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.

Requirements

Is able to communicate and respond using the English language.

Responsibilities

Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room.
Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to insure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.
Set up and break down patient tray line for each meal.
Stock and dismantle condiment and cereal area, replenish paper and china.
Work in dish room stripping and scrapping.
Take temperature of dish machine during all meals.
Work patient tray line.
Assist delivering late trays as needed.
Check silverware for cleanliness, sort after run through dishwasher and then run through again.
Clean and sanitize carts and store for lunch and dinner.
Carry out trash and mop floor.
Keep both sides of dish room cleaned and dishes stacked according to diagram.
Clean dish machine and polish daily.
Use Lime-A-Way through dish machine once a week.
Wash pots and pans, change water often.
Follow department safety and sanitation procedures daily routines.
Help other workers get their work done by meal times.
Log dish machine temperature at each meal daily.
Clean tables, counters, and various types of kitchen equipment, which may include: steam tables.
Assist with Special Functions.
Make sure all your areas of responsibility are clean before clocking out.
Comply with all rules in employee handbook and check schedule and bulletin board for notices and changes.
Perform any task asked of you by your supervisor.
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
