About The Position

Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room. Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to insure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine food service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, and dish room.
  • Assist the shift supervisor in seeing that all sanitation tasks are completed on a daily basis to insure good consistent service to all customers from a clean and sanitary kitchen facility.
  • Set up and break down patient tray line for each meal.
  • Stock and dismantle condiment and cereal area, replenish paper and china.
  • Work in dish room stripping and scrapping.
  • Take temperature of dish machine during all meals.
  • Work patient tray line.
  • Assist delivering late trays as needed.
  • Check silverware for cleanliness, sort after run through dishwasher and then run through again.
  • Clean and sanitize carts and store for lunch and dinner.
  • Carry out trash and mop floor.
  • Keep both sides of dish room cleaned and dishes stacked according to diagram.
  • Clean dish machine and polish daily.
  • Use Lime-A-Way through dish machine once a week.
  • Wash pots and pans, change water often.
  • Follow department safety and sanitation procedures daily routines.
  • Help other workers get their work done by meal times.
  • Log dish machine temperature at each meal daily.
  • Clean tables, counters, and various types of kitchen equipment, which may include: steam tables.
  • Assist with Special Functions.
  • Make sure all your areas of responsibility are clean before clocking out.
  • Comply with all rules in employee handbook and check schedule and bulletin board for notices and changes.
  • Perform any task asked of you by your supervisor.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
  • Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct.
  • Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program.
  • Complies with all HIPAA standards.
  • Adhere to job schedule for position.
