The Food Service Worker plays an essential role in delivering quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests. This position is responsible for serving meals in the cafeteria, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas, and assisting with deliveries by accepting, reconciling, and storing stock. This role requires the safe use of kitchen equipment—including knives, slicers, mixers, and dishwashers—and a working knowledge of proper hygiene in food preparation. The Food Service Worker must also understand various cleaning products and the appropriate methods for sanitizing different surfaces. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must hold a current Tennessee Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, especially in a hospital or other institutional setting.
  • Candidates without prior experience may still qualify if they are able to successfully learn required skills through the facility’s orientation and training program.
