Requirements

Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.
California Food Handler.
Understands the philosophy of quality customer service and customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.

Responsibilities

Washing all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and maintaining the kitchen area in a clean and orderly fashion.
Assisting in putting away deliveries as assigned by the supervisor.
Assisting cooks in preparation, and possibly aiding in the actual cooking of meals when needed.
Assisting in the dining room with serving if a need arises.
Assists in the set up and break down of all meals.
Washes all dishes as per Eskaton policy.
Assists the Food Services Director in various administrative capacities as requested.
Maintains the cleanliness of the department posted cleaning schedules.
Reports any damage or problems with equipment to the Director of Culinary Experience and Maintenance.
Assists in the preparation and serving of meals as directed by supervisor preferences, likes/dislikes, allergies and diet orders.
Keeps Director of Culinary Experience informed of questions, reactions, comments or problems that may arise.
Assists cook with food preparation and cooking, following recipes and instruction from cook.
Helps serve from steam table line to dining room.
Familiar with food service disaster plan.

Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear.
