About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management is seeking a Food Service Worker for their Bureau of the Fiscal Service location in Parkersburg, WV. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an hourly pay of $15.00. The role involves food preparation, customer service during meal times, simple cooking tasks, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Preparation of menu items including slicing, dicing, chopping, cutting, rolling, mixing, washing, rinsing, panning, and slacking.
Efficiently serving customers on serving lines during meal service times, maintaining proper flow rate.
Performing simple cooking tasks such as one-step heating, vegetable preparation, and pizza assembly.
Maintaining proper food safety and handling techniques according to applicable food code and HACCP standards.
Following and enforcing proper safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Conducting duties in an orderly and professional manner according to Southern Foodservice's code of conduct.
Following Manager's directions for assigned duties and procedures.
Preparing food products according to daily menu recipes, ensuring proper cooking and seasoning.
Checking food temperatures for required ranges and ensuring proper cooking.
Replenishing food items during service, greeting and caring for customers.
Breaking down service areas after meal periods.
Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of service lines and areas, wiping spills.
Participating in team utility cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, taking out trash, and stocking.
Clearing service lines and thoroughly cleaning service lines and areas after meal service.
Performing other cleaning tasks assigned by Management.
Performing other duties or tasks assigned by Assistant Managers or Supervisors, potentially supporting meal production, service, cleaning, or the dining facility.
