About The Position

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Worker for a correctional setting. This role involves preparing and serving food items according to menus and work instructions, utilizing various kitchen utensils and machines. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and service, understands food handling regulations, is a team player, adaptable, dependable, and flexible. The position requires availability to work some weekends and holidays, with flexible shift options (5am-1:30pm or 10am-6:30pm) and one weekend off per month.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to work some weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility to work either 5am to 1:30pm or 10am to 6:30pm.
• One weekend off monthly.

Nice To Haves

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner.
• Clean as you go, maintain a neat and food-safe workstation, pull trash, sweep, mop, and perform other assigned duties.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures.
• Utilize kitchen utensils/equipment to cook, prepare and serve food according to recipes.
• Use proper utensils to serve menued portions and meet clients’ nutritional needs.
• Abide by all food safety regulations pertaining to sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Maintain a clean work area/environment, including cleaning refrigerators/freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment.
• Function in a fast-paced environment, perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• Keep up with garbage collection and keep kitchen floors clean from excess food/trash.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
