Food Service Worker
About The Position
Maine Veterans’ Homes is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Maine’s veterans and families. Our vision is to be the Provider and Employer of Choice while recognizing our special role as a Veteran Advocate, and “Caring for Those Who Served.” All six of our facilities have been recognized by the American Health Care Association with awards for Achievement in Quality, placing them in the top five percent of nursing homes across the nation. We are seeking energetic individuals to join our 5-star dietary team as a Food Service Worker. The Food Service Worker is responsible for prepping, serving, stocking, set up and clean up for meals and after meals. Completes all sanitation tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English
- Basic computer skills
