Must be available to work some weekends and holidays Weekly hours alternate: Week One - 30 hours Fri 12pm-5pm Sat 6:30am-4:45pm (1hour lunch from 11:30am to 12:30pm) Sun 5am - 11:45am Wed 12:30pm - 5pm Thurs 12:30pm -5pm Week Two - 10 hours Mon 12pm-5pm Thurs 12pm - 5pm Must be available to work some weekends and holidays The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food. You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience

Responsibilities

Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
Train other food service workers.
Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
