About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing coffee and setting up food to sell, ringing up orders, handling cash and credit card transactions, and counting their drawer at the start and end of their shift. The position may involve opening or closing the cafeteria, completing set-up or clean-up checklists, and working independently in a busy environment while providing excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service. The role also requires keeping a clean and sanitary work station at all times, assisting with storage, stocking, rotation, and maintenance of all products and equipment, and following all company policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Essential responsibilities include following all established and regulatory standards for the preparation, service, and storage of food, utilizing standardized recipes, and adhering to food production system procedures. HACCP procedures and documentation are followed at all times, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to department standards. The role requires the ability to work independently without direct supervision, effectively store leftover food with appropriate documentation, and maintain patient and customer satisfaction with food. Maintaining food presentation and quality standards for patient, cafeteria, and catering food services, and following correct operating and cleaning procedures for food production equipment and all work and service areas are also key responsibilities. Assuring all sanitation, cleaning, and temperature standards are adhered to at all times, and meeting food safety standards daily are critical.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in English (read, write and speak)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to stand all day with frequent bending and twisting

  • Work areas are cleaned and sanitized as established by department standards.
  • Is able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Stores all leftover food effectively, maintaining appropriate documentation and logs.
  • Maintains patient and customer satisfaction with food.
  • Maintains food presentation and quality standards for patient, cafeteria, and catering food services.
  • Follows correct operating and cleaning procedures for food production equipment and all work and service areas.
  • Assures all sanitation, cleaning, and temperature standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Food Safety standards are met daily.
