About The Position

The Food Service Worker assists with food service and preparation across service areas, including portioning food in advance and on the tray line and grilling burgers. The role uses kitchen and café equipment to complete assigned tasks and maintains sanitary food areas. It also involves operating dishwashing equipment, moving food, supplies, and dishes to designated areas, cleaning dining tables, emptying trash bins, completing scheduled daily sanitation, and restocking work areas. When assigned to a café position, the worker operates the cash register and makes change.

Requirements

Ability to portion and serve food.
Ability to wash dishes and utensils.
Ability to observe warning labels.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food service and preparation in all service areas, including portioning food and grilling burgers.
Operate kitchen and café equipment to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain sanitary conditions in food areas and complete daily sanitation for the scheduled position.
Operate dishwashing equipment to wash dishes.
Move food, supplies, and dishes to designated areas.
Clean dining area tables and empty trash bins as needed.
Restock the work area with food and paper supplies.
Operate the café cash register and make change when scheduled to staff a café position.
