Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all organizational, client and regulatory rules and procedures.
Inspect workstations for compliance with health and safety and food service standards.
Wash and disinfect worktables, cupboards and appliances.
Sweep and mop floors in main kitchen and clean fridges.
Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
Unload dishwasher and place clean dishes in storage area.
Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.
Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils.
Brews coffee and tea, restock other beverage areas.
Assist patients with opening containers and cutting food when requested.
Work on a tray line to distribute food.
Deliver and collect patient trays to their room using a census sheet.
Record food and fridge temperatures per food safety protocols.
