Food Service Worker (Part Time)

Requirements
- Must pass a military installation background check is required.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Well-organized and self-directed.
- The ability, after training, to serve customers at an efficient pace while providing friendly customer service.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the performance work standards for food handling, serving, cleaning and distribution.
- Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in the kitchen or dining area of a dining facility, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures.
- Set up food on cafeteria lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.
- Replace glassware, dishes, and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops.
- Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors; clean walls and windows.
- Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from serving counters. Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils by hand.
- Prepare food by paring, cutting, dicing, chopping, washing and/or cleaning vegetables and fruits and/or opening cans and cartons.
- Maintain the following in a sanitary condition: equipment, work areas, utensils, and tables.
- Notify supervisor immediately of malfunctioning, inoperative, unsafe, or hazardous equipment cleaned or used.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
