About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Food Service Worker for its Food and Nutrition Services department. This is a full-time position with a shift of 7A-7:30P. The role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals while adhering to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The position also includes delivering stock supplies, serving guests, replenishing supplies, performing sanitation duties, and handling food sales transactions as a cashier. Additionally, the role involves setting up and serving meals for various dining outlets and decorating buffet and reception tables. This position is integral to ensuring customer safety, comfort, and satisfaction through high-quality food preparation and service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Less than 1 year of experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
- Complete sanitation duties.
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
- Collect payments for guest trays.
- Handle transactions for food sales in the Cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
