About The Position

This position performs essential sanitation and food service duties in a dining environment. Requirements

  • Ability to meet basic requirements of the position as stated in the Statement of Work.
  • Process or learn basic knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation and personal hygiene standards.

  • Able to perform simple tasks without constant supervision.
  • Ability to learn and utilize kitchen equipment as required in performing job tasks.
  • Must be able to distinguish between food preparation items and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to pass ServSafe starters course or prime contractor equivalent course.
  • Must be able to pass NACI Military background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all sanitation tasks, including cleaning dining rooms (tables, chairs, condiments, napkins), vacuuming/sweeping carpets, and mopping floors.
  • Perform dishwashing duties: set up and tear down dishwasher, unload busser carts, pre-scrape and stack dishes, ensure cleanliness and proper racking of dishes, and stock serving areas with service items.
  • Perform line serving duties, ensuring cleanliness of the serving line and surrounding areas, including floors, and adhering to cleaning standards outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Responsible for the kitchen area, including trash and garbage removal, sweeping/mopping, and deep cleaning kitchen equipment, ovens, and overhead hoods as outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Perform pots and pans duties, understanding minimum temperatures for wash, rinse, and sanitation water, and required minimum temperatures for mechanical washing equipment if applicable. Ensure proper drying and racking techniques.
  • Maintain sanitation requirements of the pots and pans washing area, including counters, sinks, and machinery, as well as storage racks, shelving, and holding inserts.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including cleaning the back dock and stairs, customer entrances, waste cans, bussing carts, and portable holding units. Arrange outside storage items safely and presentably.
  • Clean and stock lavatories as per standards outlined in the Statement of Work.
  • Maintain professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by the on-duty supervisor.
